Anyone has a Habistat Pulse Proportional Thermostat 600w?
Hi, I bought a Habistat Pulse Proportional Thermostat 600w (NOT the Day/ Night). I have a doubt because I need it for heat mats, I was told it is the better choice because it is very accurate (also better than the Habistat Mat-Stat) but does it work fine on heat mats? and does it have a minimum wattage load (like the Day / Night Pulse Proportional Thermostat ) because my heat mat is only 35 watts? And can it control two heat mats in the same time?
Anyone who has a Habistat Pulse Proportional Thermostat 600w (NOT the Day/ Night) can help me please?
But will it work perfectly the same on mats the pulse proportional stat? And how can I control two mats in the same time??
That's a very good thermostat but definitely overkill for heat mat control. The Mat-Stat would be perfectly adequate, if you have the option to return the expensive Pulse Proportional controller?
The 600W Pulse Proportional is really intended to be used with high wattage ceramic heat emitters, not heat mats.
I don't know about the minimum load thing (never an issue for us as it was only used with CHE's) but yes, you can control more than one heater with a single Habistat Pulse Proportional, provided the total load of 600W is not exceeded (obviously irrelevant if you're using heat mats!)
