Objects and textures rendering in black?
I'm trying to render a scene, I've got everything modeled and textured, yet a single object keeps coming out solid black. I can't see the textures on that object, just the shape. I'm rendering the scene using mental ray.
Any ideas?
I'm working in 3D Studio Max 2008
I am used to Maya, there is a light liking editor in that. Maybe there is something similar and there are no lights linked to that object.
Try duplicating the object and put a different shader on it, move it around the scene.
Maybe also try recreating the shader on it from scratch.
Also, make sure it's not a toon shader, mental ray can't render those.
