Have any other ladies experienced false symptoms of pregnancy after having a complete hysterectomy? I have gained weight (only in my stomach), my hair is getting thicker, I am emotional etc. It has been two years since my hyster and I am not on estrogen (per Dr.'s orders and yes I have made an appt. with him about this new issue!) Anyway I was just wondering how this was treated and whether and how common this might be?

my mother had similar symptoms after she had her hysterectomy and the doctor told her that it was the way her body was reacting to the hormones perscribed to her. they chose another treatment, some other type of hormone pill in a different dosage, and she hasn't had any other symptoms since. hope this helps!
